When Do I Need To Offer Refunds to My Customers?

At Fatsoma we believe you should have full control when it comes to your events, as such, your refund policy is set by you.

On Fatsoma, refund policy is set on an event-by-event basis by the organiser, so it is completely up to you whether or not to offer refunds. You can even choose whether or not to allow refund requests for your event.

However, there are some instances when you are legally required to issue a refund. If your event is cancelled, or has changed in any significant way (i.e. it’s been rescheduled or there’s been a change in venue), then your customers would be eligible for a refund for the face value of the ticket.

If you reschedule your event, your customers can choose to keep their ticket for the new date. However, if for whatever reason they cannot attend the new date, then they are entitled to a refund for the face value of the ticket.

If your event is going ahead as originally planned, then refunds can be issued at your discretion. Fatsoma will never overturn your decision regarding a refund, unless there is a legal reason to do so as outlined above.

(If you are a customer looking to secure a refund for an event you purchased tickets for, please refer to our Customer FAQs page here. If your question isn’t answered, fill in the form at the bottom of the FAQs page and a member of our dedicated Customer Support team will contact you via email.)
