To put it plainly, a pixel is a few lines of code from Facebook or Snapchat that can be integrated with a web page, or in this case, your Fatsoma page.

Once this is installed, whenever a person visits your Fatsoma page, the event pages they visit and any actions they take will be fed back to the pixel’s platform where they can be viewed in the Facebook Event Manager or Snapchat Ads Manager.

When a customer makes an action on your Fatsoma listing, the pixel code sends an ‘Event’ back to its platform (Facebook or Snapchat) based on the specific action taken. There are 5 main events used on Fatsoma:

  • Page View - When someone views your brand page or any of your events.

  • View Content - When a customer views a specific event.

  • Add to Cart - When a customer selects the number of tickets and clicks ‘Get Tickets’.

  • Initiate Checkout - When a customer is prompted to enter their payment details.

  • Purchase - When a customer has purchased a ticket.

This Data will allow you to track conversion from your ads and optimise your marketing strategies. Find out more about the benefits of using pixels here.
