At Fatsoma we’re dedicated to providing you with the tools you need to promote your events to your customers and help them and you to have the best experiences possible. One of the most useful and effective ways of doing this on our platform is by using our Co-promotion tool.
We’re sure you’ll have lots of questions about this powerful feature, check out the responses we’ve written to some common questions below:
What is Co-promotion?
Co-promotion is our unique marketing tool that allows you to team up with other event organisers on Fatsoma to promote your events. This allows you to market your events to a wider audience, and find more like-minded people to attend your events. Find out more about Co-promotion here.
What are the benefits of using Co-promotion?
Co-promotion is essentially free or low cost marketing for your events. With little or no extra cost or effort, you’ll not only reach a wider audience and create more awareness around your events, you’ll also sell more tickets and generate more revenue. Find out more about the benefits of using Co-promotion here.
How do I set up a Co-promotion?
You can set up a Co-Promotion in the event page by selecting ‘Invite Co-promoter’ from the menu on the left hand side of the page. You then enter the email address of the person you want to Co-promote the event with, set any commission you want to offer, and then send the invite to set up the Co-promotion. Check out our guide to setting up a Co-Promotion here.
Can I Co-promote my event with any brand?
Yes, you can Co-promote your event with any brand on Fatsoma, as long as you have the email address of someone who is a brand manager or admin on the brand you want to Co-promote with. You can even Co-promote your events across your own brands!
Can I Co-promote my event with multiple brands at the same time?
Yes, you can Co-promote your events with as many brands as you’d like.
How do I track sales made through a Co-promotion?

Will my brand gain followers through Co-promotion sales?
No, due to GDPR we cannot add followers of other pages to your brand after they’ve bought a ticket to a Co-promoted event. You will only gain followers if a customer buys a ticket to the event directly through your page.
Can I charge people to Co-promote their events on my brand?
Yes, promoters can offer commission for every ticket sold via a Co-promotion, this needs to be added when sending the initial invite to Co-promote the event.
How much commission should I offer with my Co-promotion?
Most promoters don’t offer commission when Co-promoting their events, however, 10% of the face value of the tickets tends to be the standard rate when commission is offered.
Do I have to offer commission when Co-promoting my event?
No, you don’t have to offer commission when Co-promoting your event. You can set the commission to zero when sending the Co-promotion invite.
How do I announce an event I’m Co-promoting?
You can announce an event you’re Co-promoting by going into the brand page the event is being Co-promoted on, and clicking the button labelled ‘Promote’ on the event. Check out our guide to announcing a co-promoted event here.
