You can customise and send your event announcement when you originally list the event or you can go back and announce it later. In the scenario below, we’ll run through announcing an existing event. If you’re announcing your event whilst you’re setting it up, then jump straight to step 3 below.
From your Dashboard, scroll down and locate the event that you want to send a custom announcement for.
Click the ‘Edit Event’ button.
Scroll down to the section titled ‘Publish your event’. If your event isn’t yet published, you will need to do this before announcing.
Find the section below titled ‘Announce your event’.
Enter your custom message in the box provided (there's a maximum limit of 500 characters).
Check the preview section below your message to see how the post will look in the app feed.
When you're happy with your post, click 'Announce Now'.
Hit ‘Save Event’ to send out your Event Announcement and custom post to your followers.
Congratulations, you have successfully sent a custom announcement message in the Fatsoma app!
